How to recognise it

A large green-to-brown frog (up to 20 cm) with a very big round eardrum and a skin fold that curves around it rather than running down the back. Its deep 'jug-o-rum' call carries far.

Is it dangerous?

Harmless to people. Outside its native range it's an aggressive invasive that eats almost anything it can swallow.
